Don't forget to make it touch-sensitive like the LCD displays. (That's where Amazon really went wrong with the Kindle....)
Make it 2x the normal module size, so it extends over the whole bug.
"Make it 2x the normal module size, so it extends over the whole bug. " Then it would probably have to be touchscreen. How else to control it? I cant imagine many buying a doublemodule _and_ an extra module to control it.
My video camera uses a led array next to the display. So the touch-sensitive overlay is avoided. Buttons must be placed at the side - just like an ATM machine, but the overall design is simple enough.
try flexy, touchscreen, color e-ink,on and on and on
I'd actually like to see something on the order of a large e-ink display ...oh....like 11x17 for a table top application i envision. Dont even need colour.
I would like to see a touch-sensitive e-ink display, which has the dimensions of a sheet of paper (A4, letter, ...). This size would allow to display one page of an ebook in the PDF-format without scrolling or zooming. That way, the poor responsiveness of e-ink displays wouldn't matter that much. Black and white would work for me.
touch sensitive eink displays tend to have alot of glare. it almost defeats the purpose. right now flexible couses the ink to separate from the controller board except in very expensive cases.
