GSM, 3G, EDGE etc...

I see this primarily used for wireless internet away from home.

  3. Which flavor of HSPA/HSDPA/HSUPA? I'd like to see quad-band (with support for T-Mobile-USA), but I doubt anyone makes the chips for it yet. So I guess tri-band would be enough. But yeah, I'd definitely like to see 3G, and not just quadband GSM/EDGE.

    What I'd also like to see, on the software side of this module:

    a SIP server that gives you access to the voice parts,

    a Jabber server that gives you access to the SMS/MMS parts,

    a routing interface for IP traffic (obviously),

    and the ability to do all 3 of those at once.

    I, for one, would love to be able to use Bug with Verizon. Compatibility with as many cell providers as possible would make everyone happy.
